The International Commercial Arbitration Court at the RF Chamber of Commerce and Industry is the leading arbitration court in Russia and in East European countries which deals with resolving disputes of international character; it is the successor of the Foreign Trade Arbitration Commission (FTAC), created legislatively in 1932. The ICAC is one of the largest and authoritative arbitration centre of the world, recognized by domestic and foreign entrepreneurs. For example, 41 companies from foreign states were parties to disputes in the ICAC in 2005. Since 1999 the ICAC is the member of the International Federation of Commercial Arbitration Institutions (IFCAI). This website, operating since 2005, describes the activity of the ICAC today and in the past and provides general information about settling disputes in the ICAC as well as texts of the Rules of the ICAC and the list of arbitrators in the Russian and foreign languages, some materials of the arbitration practice. There are also active references to websites of international organizations where the texts of the most important treaties which are used when settling commercial disputes in the ICAC and the texts of the treaties which are used for enforcement of its ruling abroad are placed.
